VINTAGE RT: AL & FRIENDS

So, yesterday someone shared with me the images from Lethal Amount’s Without Sympathy show, featuring lots of great early photos of Al Jourgensen, Miistry, and Revolting Cocks. As a longtime fan of Al and his projects, I found it inspiring and came home and listened to Without Sympathy, Twitch, and the Trax! box set back to back. This morning I decided to post my vintage retrotransmission “Al and Friends” show from Winter 2014, featuring plenty of Ministry and Revolting Cocks, but also Lard, KMFDM, Rigor Mortis, Pailhead, 1000 Homo DJs, Pigface, PTP, Skinny Puppy, and more. Viva Uncle Al!

Tonight was my final retrotransmission on rainydawg radio, and it was emotional for me. I hate goodbyes, so I wanted to end on a high note with a nonstop dance party, the kind where music blasts from a righteous sound system at top volume and people can’t get off the dance floor. Postpunk, pop, goth (I had to represent the goth stomp!), industrial dance, and electro kept it strong all night, and I sent retrotransmission off in style.  I hope to be broadcasting live from the radio again soon…stay tuned. But until then, keep checking this blog every Monday for new and vintage retrotransmission playlists!

Vintage RT: Industrial Dance

Over the years on retrotransmission I’ve put together several dance party playlists. This is an 80s and 90s industrial dance mix with hard driving beats from classic industrial and electro bands including Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, KMFDM, Meat Beat Manifesto, Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, and more. Think vinyl, latex, sweat, and bass.
