This retrotransmission episode is inspired by the schizophrenic weather of early spring, when its warm and sunny one day, then cool, damp, raining, and grey the next. These are moody, weird tunes for a dark spring. VINTAGE RT: SOME WEAR LEATHER, SOME WEAR LACE…

This time of year, when it gets chilly and brisk, all I want to listen to is 70s, 80s, and 90s goth, and think about how Halloween is right around the corner…

VINTAGE RT: DIRTY BLACK SUMMER

Today I’m posting one of my favorite retrotransmissions of all time: The Black Show. This show, from spring 2013, features rock n roll, goth, punk, and post punk bands paying homage to black. Summer goth reigns.

After reading this great article, “Propaganda: The Aesthetics of Evil and Why Goth Was a Thing That Had to Happen,” I was inspired to post my vintage retrotransmission homage to the infamous UK Goth Club, The Batcave, from fall 2012.  Put on your black best and get your goth stomp on to the sounds of Specimen, Alien Sex Fiend, Bauhaus, Virgin Prunes, The Birthday Party, Tabathas Nightmare, Xmal Deutschland, etc….
