Swan Song! New RT 6/8/15

Tonight was my final retrotransmission on rainydawg radio, and it was emotional for me. I hate goodbyes, so I wanted to end on a high note with a nonstop dance party, the kind where music blasts from a righteous sound system at top volume and people can’t get off the dance floor. Postpunk, pop, goth (I had to represent the goth stomp!), industrial dance, and electro kept it strong all night, and I sent retrotransmission off in style.  I hope to be broadcasting live from the radio again soon…stay tuned. But until then, keep checking this blog every Monday for new and vintage retrotransmission playlists!

Vintage RT: RT For RT

This set list from several years ago, which I called “Retrotransmission for Retrotransmission” featured some of the punk and postpunk artists that inspired this radio show in the first place! Lots of the tracks on here were included on my original try-out set list that I presented to rainydawg radio. They told me my inclusion of Guided By Voices’ “Hot Freaks” sealed the deal.

Vintage RT: UK Post-Punk

RIP Ian Curtis…35 years ago (5/18/80). Enjoy this classic mix of UK post-punk to honor his memory and impact.
