image1-8

Its finally fall!! Fall is my favorite time of year, and it always inspires me to make a lot of playlists. A lot of the music I love, which you can hear on this mix, is evocative of cool, crisp weather, heavy grey skies, and turning leaves. Listen live today 9/9, 4-6EST , on 8ball radio, or catch it later on my show archive. Moody punk, postpunk, and goth tracks from Joy Division, Love and Rockets, Public Image Ltd., The Wake, The Chameleons, Leonard Cohen, Current 93, Wire, The Legendary Pink Dots, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Sonic Youth, Dead Can Dance, Nico, Kate Bush, The Tear Garden, Swans, Lush, Chris & Cosey, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, The Fall, Echo & the Bunneymen, Clan of Xymox, and more.

This set list from several years ago, which I called “Retrotransmission for Retrotransmission” featured some of the punk and postpunk artists that inspired this radio show in the first place! Lots of the tracks on here were included on my original try-out set list that I presented to rainydawg radio. They told me my inclusion of Guided By Voices’ “Hot Freaks” sealed the deal.
